Ryan Bracewell
Powerlifter & Strongman Competitor | 2009 NAS Athlete of the Year
Ryan Bracewell is 27 years old, 6'1 and 300 lbs.  He started weight training at age 13 to become a better football player, and since then his strength has reached phenomenal levels. To date, his best lifts are: 455 lbs bench, 730 lbs box squat, and 850 lbs deadlift.  Some of his best strongman feats include: 960 lbs yoke walk for 60 feet, 410 lbs farmers in each hand for 50 feet, and 380 lbs log clean and press.  In powerlifting he holds all of the APF Raw records for the 308 lbs weight class -- a 628 lbs squat, 419 lbs bench, 766 lbs deadlift, and 1813 lbs total.

Ryan started competing in Strongman at the beginning of 2008 and after only his second contest he qualified for NAS National Championship, where he won the 265 lbs weight class and placed 4th overall.  Several times In 2009 he narrowly missed out on earning his pro card before finally earning his American Strongman Pro Card in 2010 at the Orlando Show of Champions.

Brad is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also has B.S. in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University. He has been competing in strength sports for 5 years now and has lost over 70 pounds and continues to get stronger. As the president/coach of the Sam Houston State University powerlifting team, he took the team to collegiate nationals where many of his lifters have been ranked with an All American status. During his time powerlifting, Brad added 250 pounds to his total in little over a year and won many titles.

Brad is a NAS athlete and has competed in many strongman competitions in the US. Some of his best events include 320 log, 810 yoke, 305 farmers, and has recently loaded a 400 pound atlas stone. His goal is to earn his lightweight pro card in 2011. Brad would like to thank The Asylum Gym for giving him a place to get stronger, and Nathan Payton for helping dial in his nutrition
