The Asylum Gym - designed not only to build monsters but for the fitness enthusiast in everyone.

Who? The high school athlete, college and professional athletes, power lifters, strongmen, power bodybuilders, and World Strongest Man competitor, Travis Ortmayer, as well as many other pro strongmen love The Asylum.

You will find The Asylum's resident pro strongman, Ryan Bracewell, honing his skills and offering advice to our members on a daily basis at the gym.  To show their dedication, members do strength moves like 850 lb deadlifts, 700 lb squats, and 1000 lb rack pulls among other monster lifts.  They do it on equipment that is rock solid and top of the line -- you're not going to break or bend anything here.

The equipment is not only for the strength athlete but for the everyday fitness buff.  The Asylum is not only well equipped but right outside the big bay doors is a parking lot where you're welcome to do your sled pulls, yoke and farmer runs, and tire flipping with tires that go up to 720 lbs. The music is loud and no one is going to say anything if you take off your shirt.

It's one of the best atmospheres in which an athlete would want to train.  We offer both personal and group training along with nutritional and supplementation programs.  The Asylum is owned and operated by Kingwood residents Scot Morgan and Nate Payton. The Asylum is excited to also have Andy Yount and Brad Pillow as a part of the professional training staff.

“The saying goes, 'It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.'  Well, if you pull out all of the weapons stocked in the Asylum's arsenal and use them, you'll destroy that saying.  I'd love training here.  If you're in town, feel free to visit Asylum Gym (by the Houston International Airport)!"  (John Romano, RX Muscle.com)
